Ingredients 2 1/4 cup Oat bran, raw 1 tbs Baking powder, low-sodium 1/4 cup Sugars, brown 1/2 cup Raisins, seedless 1 1/4 cup Milk, nonfat, fluid, (fat free or skim) 2 white Egg, white, raw, fresh 2 tbs Syrups, corn, light 1 tsp Spices, cinnamon, ground Instructions for Preparation The recipes entered here are simple examples, change/delete them as you please. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix the milk, egg whites and corn syrup together and blend with the dry ingredients. Line muffin pans with paper baking cups and fill with batter divided equally. Bake 13 to 15 minutes. Test for doneness with toothpick. Makes 12 muffins, substitute other dried fruits for variety. I ate many of these while dieting to lower my cholesterol, they taste pretty good and fill you up too. |
